Tulum is in the south side of the Riviera Maya, in the Mexican Caribbean. This tourist destination is famous due to its relaxed atmosphere with small hotels by the sea. From Playa del Carmen to Tulum it is a 40 mi (65 km) drive and 73 mi (118 km) from Cancun.
